About Us
	Our Mission Perry County Crime Stoppers is a volunteer organization of local citizens and business people dedicated to the reduction of crime, to the prompt solution of crimes, and to rewarding persons who provide information that leads to the arrest of criminals.
How does it work? Perry County Crime Stoppers works with the local media. Each week, details concerning a fugitive or unsolved crime are publicized by the local newspaper and radio stations. This is known as "*Crime Of The Week." Citizens who believe they may have information that will solve the crime may call our tip hotline or submit a clue online. You will be provided a special code number with no names* or personal information required. Instructions are provided to check again at a later date to find out if the information you provided qualifies for a reward of up to $2000.00!!!
What makes us different? The two main reasons individuals do not give information are: (1) They are afraid of retaliation. (2) They do not want to get involved. Perry County Crime Stoppers works around these concerns by providing a toll-free number or online submission which allows each informant to remain completely anonymous. We also add the incentive of a cash reward whenever the information leads to an arrest.
How is the program administered? Perry County Crime Stoppers is administered by a civilian board of directors who volunteer their time and energy with sole control over the organization. The Board, with advice from all involved law enforcement agencies will determine the amount of the rewards and which informant(s) merits reward money. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the donation form.	What type of organization are we? Perry County Crime Stoppers is a 501c 3 organization. It was founded in 2003 through the efforts of the Pennsylvania State Police and local citizens of the county. The bylaws for the organization were adopted in January 2004. Contributions are solicited from service organizations, social clubs, business men & women, corporations, citizens, and fund raising events. Contributions are tax-exempt.
