interest in joining the New Buffalo Fire Company as a
volunteer. We are always in need of volunteers and
appreciate any way you can help. It is a rewarding
experience that gives you the opportunity to grow, make
new friends, and give back to your community.
There are several avenues you can take as a
volunteer. We are sure you will find one that fits
your unique talent and experience. |

Social Member (Any Ages)
A social member is able to help out with fundraising, attend
company meetings, and sometimes prepare food and drinks for
firefighters at emergency scenes and trainings.
Junior Firefighter (Ages 14 -17)
At ages 14 and 15, a junior firefighter, is able to attend
trainings, participate in fire prevention & safety, help out
with fundraisers, and attend company meetings, however they are
not allowed to enter a burning building.
At ages 16 & 17, juniors are able to respond to calls,
participate in fire prevention & safety, attend trainings,
help out with fundraisers, and attend company meetings, however
they are not allowed to enter a burning building.
Fire Fighter (Ages 18+++)
Fire fighters are able to respond to calls, enter burning
buildings (with proper training), help out with fundraising,
attend training classes to keep up to date on safety, and attend
company meetings.
Fire Police (Ages 18+++)
Fire Police are able to respond to calls, direct traffic at
emergency scenes, help out with fundraising, and attend company
meetings.
How Do I Apply?
To become a volunteer please download our application, fill it
out, and mail it to us or feel free to stop in at a company
meeting to fill your application out.
